How long does shipping take?

Here’s the typical timeline for a Petterm order.

Standard shipping (free over $50, free on Subscribe & Save)

  • Fulfillment — 0–1 business day after the order is placed.
  • Transit — 3–7 business days from when it leaves our warehouse.
  • Total — usually 4–8 business days from order to doorstep.

Expedited shipping (available at checkout)

  • Fulfillment — same day for orders before 2 PM ET on weekdays.
  • Transit — 2–3 business days.
  • Total — usually 2–4 business days from order to doorstep.

Same-day fulfillment cutoff

Orders placed before 2 PM ET, Monday through Friday are processed and labeled for shipping the same day. Orders after the cutoff are processed the next business day.

Orders placed on weekends or US federal holidays are processed the next business day.

Subscription orders

For Subscribe & Save orders, the ship date is when the order leaves our warehouse — not when the next charge happens. We charge the card on file 1 day before the ship date, then fulfill and ship.

If you signed up for a 4-week cadence, your subsequent orders ship 4 weeks after the last ship date — not 4 weeks after delivery.

What can slow things down

  • High-volume periods — Black Friday week, December, and major sale weekends can add 1–2 days to fulfillment.
  • Severe weather — carrier delays we can’t control.
  • Address issues — typos or incomplete addresses cause carrier holds. Always double-check the address at checkout.
