Petterm started in 2024 with a stainless steel cat litter box. Not a glamorous origin — but an honest one. Then our cats showed us what came next.
Why we started
From a litter box to a supplement — our cats led the way.
In 2024, we launched Petterm with a stainless steel cat litter box. The plastic options on the market were hard to clean and made from materials we didn’t feel good about. So we made something better.
Then in 2025, things changed. Gina — our 8-year-old Ragdoll — started vomiting hairballs more frequently. Blood streaks. Sometimes stomach acid. The kind of thing that makes you feel helpless as an owner, no matter how much you search for answers.
Around the same time, Dollar (our 2-year-old Ragdoll) developed persistent tear staining. Two cats, two problems, and a growing frustration with the supplements on the market: vague ingredient lists, formulas that seemed built for the shelf rather than for the cat.
We applied the same logic we’d used for the litter box: if we can’t find something we trust, we’ll make it ourselves. That’s how Petterm Health started in 2025 — a year after the litter box that started it all.

We started by questioning the plastic litter box. We apply the same standard to everything we make — if we wouldn't use it for Gina and Dollar, it doesn't go into a Petterm product.

Every product we've launched came from a problem one of our cats actually had. Not a market gap analysis — a real situation we lived with and couldn't find a good answer to.
