How much Hairball Powder should I give my cat?

Why dose by weight

The active blend (probiotic CFU count + fiber dose) is calibrated for an average adult cat’s gut volume. Underdosing slows results; overdosing increases the chance of loose stool in the first week.

How to give half a sachet

For cats under 10 lb, tear open the sachet and pour roughly half into your cat’s food. Reseal the sachet (a small clip or a fold-and-clothespin works) and store it in the original box for the next day. Use within 48 hours.

If your cat eats two meals a day, an easier approach is to split a sachet across both meals — quarter into the morning bowl and a quarter into the evening bowl, then reseal what’s left for the next day.

Multi-cat households

Each cat gets their own daily dose based on their own weight. If you’re feeding cats out of a shared bowl, that won’t work cleanly — you need to feed them separately at least once a day so each cat gets their proper amount.

When to adjust

Don’t adjust the dose unless your vet recommends it. Going above the labeled dose doesn’t speed up results — the formula is designed to work at this level. Going below the labeled dose typically just stalls progress.
